Celebrating the Birth of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ

The Mosques around the country are beginning to light up in preparation of the month of Rabi Ul Awwal! It is a time to celebrate the the birth of prophet Muhammad ﷺ and revive the love in our hearts for the one who spread the message of Islam.

Indeed He is the Chosen Prophet ﷺ!

Mawlāya ṣalli wa sallim dā’iman abadan, ʿAlā ḥabībika khayri l-khalqi kullihimi

O my Lord, bless and grant peace always and forever, Upon Your beloved one, the Best of all Creation. [Imam Busiri RA: Qasidah Burdah]

The Nasheed Reciters brace themselves for a busy month of praising Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in our Mosques. The Scholars ready with their lectures of loving Prophet Muhammad ﷺ! It is a joyous occasion where the whole community gets involved. The children stand reciting Tala Al Badru Alayna and the adults gather to recite the Qasidah Burdah! Gifts, sweets and flowers distributed, all to help us revive our love for our Blessed Prophet Muhammad ﷺ!

What a happy occasion! It is indeed a reminder of fulfilling the Prophetic Sunnah in our lives!

The Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: Whoever builds a Masjid, desiring thereby Allah’s pleasure, Allah builds for him the like of it in Paradise. [Sahih Bukhari]

The Islamic centre of Britain, aims to fulfil the Sunnah of building a Mosque and developing a Prophetic atmosphere within the Mosque and within all the services at the centre.  It will be a place of celebrating the life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ from its Nursery, School, Mosque and more!

So, let’s rejoice and send salutations upon Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and donate as little as £10 towards the Islamic Centre of Britain!

This was a good opportunity for employers to show solidarity with employees who felt rightfully shaken by the violent unrest and emphasise their commitment to tolerance and multicultural openness.
